The spoken word artist Kae Tempest wrote this beautiful piece called “Hold Your Own” which was recommended by Deviant Ollam in one of his videos on keeping our hope afloat.
I’ve listened to it many times; sometimes sobbing, other times rejoicing, and others simply feeling what I was feeling in the moment.
I did as the poet instructed and breathed deep on that freezing beach.
After crossing a Rubicon, healing is the journey, thriving is the way, and community is the light in the dark.
